Sgeir Mhaol is a family-run guest house whose name, pronounced 'Sgeir Vole', meaning in gaelic 'A Bare Rock', is derived from that of a lighthouse with a family connection off the Isle of Jura.
The house is conveniently situated at the southern end of Oban on the Campbeltown road, yet only 5 minutes walk from the town centre, bus, boat and train terminals.
Open all year, Sgeir Mhaol has a spacious private car park within the grounds.
Both the dining room and lounge overlook a pleasant front garden, and together with the bedrooms are all on the ground floor. The house is centrally heated throughout.
Our breakfast menu has a variety of choices including a traditional full Scottish breakfast.
